Depending on the variation in the dialects of the local language, charpoy are also called as pilang in a few regions of Haryana. This pilang was recorded in the baithak of a house and was used by the men from the neighbourhood to rest and socialise. A rug made from camel hair was hung on the wall, behind the pilang.
