Pinjra (Larder)

Pinjra are generally raised up on four carved or turned legs. This example had turned wood finials at the top corners. The surfaces of this pinjra were fitted with metal rods between the wooden frames and a layer mesh fitted on the inner surface. This pinjra was no longer in use as a larder.
