Well forged one piece steel head of the smaller type, with functional pipe bowl on the top. Right hand face of blade inlaid with a small copper crescent. Type of1840-60 period. (refer: Harold Peterson "American Indian Tomahawks" no. 162). Plain wooden stem, slightly tapered at mouth end.
