Placebo

The sculpture Placebo, created in 2021 in bronze, consists of two parts —the sculpture and the pedestal— and is also by the artist Fred Friedrich. It is another element of the “Gesamtkunstwerk” (total artwork) and is part of the Opus Opera Collection. The Fred Friedrich Museum displays all these works in Marbella.

In Placebo, Fred Friedrich condenses the tension between the symbolic and the real in a sculpture that not only occupies space —it questions it. With a height of five meters and an almost ritual presence, the work stands as a modern totem.
