Painting located in the room dedicated to the memory of the Baron, which portrays the couple Antônio and Laura Clemente Pinto, Baron and Baroness of Nova Friburgo and some of their properties, titles and medals. Painting commissioned from the German painter and engraver Emil Bauch. Portuguese of poor origin, Antônio Clemente Pinto emigrated to Brazil in 1807, where he made a quick fortune with the slave trade and, later, with gold mining and the production and trade of coffee. He received the title of Baron as the owner of one of the largest fortunes in Brazil during the Second Reign (1840-1889).
Fragment of the painting "Baron and Baroness of Nova Friburgo" (Emil Bauch). In this clipping, the Cantagalo Railroad plan is represented, built to facilitate and cheapen the flow of coffee production from the Baron from the region of Cantagalo to Porto das Caixas.
