PlantConnect

<plantconnect> explores human-plant interaction via the human act of breathing, the bioelectrical and photosynthetic activity of plants and computational intelligence to bring the two together in cognitive and physiological aspects. This project explores new possibilities through information delivery, communication, and mutual connection between material traits, human and non-human.

Carlos Castellanos is interested in living systems, the natural environment and emerging technologies which bridge science, technology, education and the arts. He is an assistant professor and director of the Digital/Experimental Media Lab in the Department of Art, Kansas State University. Bello Bello is an artist who makes customized electronic equipment and software. He participated in group exhibitions such as Beach Museum and Chapman Gallery. He received pure art scholarship of Cheryl Mellenthin with Mark Chapman in 2018.
