Joy Morton founded the Morton Salt Company in Chicago then established The Morton Arboretum in 1922 in Lisle, IL, where he lived until his death. Joy's father, J. Sterling Morton, was Secretary of Agriculture to President Grover Cleveland and originator of Arbor Day. This picture commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Arboretum during the 1997 Arbor Day celebration in Lisle.
