A Edoardo Amaldi : admirable moteur de toutes nos decisions

Plaque presented to Amaldi, one of the pioneers of CERN. He held the post of Secretary-General in the interim period of the Organization (1952-1954). Returning to Rome in 1954, Edoardo Amaldi did not sever links with CERN. From 1957-1975 he was a member of the Scientific Policy Committee at CERN (Chairman from 1958-1960). He was a member of the CERN Council from 1960-1973 (Vice-President from 1960 -1962 and President from 1970-1971).
