This turquois-inlaid bronze plaque is a representative artifact of the Erlitou culture. Generally, such plaques were decorated with abstract animal faces. Two such turquois-inlaid bronze plaques were unearthed at the Sanxingdui site, indicating cultural exchanges between the southwest and central plains regions.
