Plastic brassiere form used at Perling's, a department store in Sandersville, Georgia to model Lovable brassieres, c.1960s. Founded in 1926 by Frank and Gussie Garson, Lovable Brassiere Co. was in business for nine decades, integrated its work force in the 1930s, and throughout the 1980s and 1990s was one of the largest privately held brassiere makers in the world. In the 1990s, it was forced to close due to the consolidation of large retailers.
