Plate 8 of a series of 23 prints featuring monkeys acting as humans in various figural scenes. In outdoor setting, a figural scene of a music lesson, the monkey instructor in gentleman's costume teaching his students, who are cats. The monkey holds a sheet of music in his left hand and a scroll in his right hand, directing his pupils. He has a violin strapped across his body. At his feet, one cat holds a sheet of music and looks up at his instructor. The other cat at center plays a dulcimer.
