The historiated plate depicts the Myth of Jason, hero of the Argonauts, who had to pass a series of very hard tests to regain the throne of Iolco in Thessaly.
Like a Mission Impossible of distant times, the young Jason found himself yoking a pair of bulls that breathed flames (foreground), plowing a field by sowing the teeth of the Cadmus dragon (in the background) from which armed warriors would be born (in the third floor on the right) and finally conquer the Golden Fleece, the golden mantle of Crisomallo, a winged ram capable of flying, which had the power to heal any wound.
After all the tests, the happy ending.
Jason was successful in all the challenges he faced thanks also to the help and advice of the sorceress Medea, and was able to return victorious to his homeland.
