Plate VIII from Lilienthal's book "Birdflight as a Basis of Aviation"

With this book Lilienthal finished his flight physical preliminary research studies of flight. Now he believed that he had the necessary knowledge to start building a man carrying apparatus. In addition to the development of the physics of flight the book contains a summary of all experiments, that Lilienthal carried out during the last twenty years and a chapter with rules for the construction of aeroplanes, his further program.
