The plate has an everted rim, deep bowl and ring foot. Made of white paste, it is decorated over white slip in cobalt blue, green and slightly raised coral red, with black outlining under transparent glaze. In the centre of the plate is a composition of tulips, carnations and a serrated lanceolate leaf springing from a tuft of leaves. Around the rim is a border consisting of Chinese rock and wave motifs, and S-scrolls. Around the body is a border of cobalt blue tulips and rosettes arranged alternately.
