Plate

Qing dynasty, reign of Qianlong

Macau Museum

Macau Museum
Lisbon, Portugal

Porcelain decorated with coat of arms attributed to Dom Luís de Castelo Branco Correia e Cunha (1683-1749), 4th Count of Pombeiro and senior canon at Lisbon Cathedral. Attributed for many years to Dom Alberto da Silva (1635-1688), Canon of the Order of Saint Augustine and the Archbishop of Goa, but this is not possible because the form of the rim and the style of the decoration mean that the plate dates from afer 1740.
