Oklahoma City, United States

This cradleboard, blending Plateau and Great Lakes traditions, is made from woven wicker and lined with a Hudson Bay Point blanket—a symbol of trade-era adaptation. Indigenous groups across these regions used natural materials and cloth imports to create functional, warm, and protective beds for infants. The curved wicker form offered lightweight transport and shade.
