Claire Marschak worked as a toy designer for more than 20 years. Many of the toys she designed were produced by the Fisher-Price toy company, a manufacturer that specialized in toys for infants and toddlers. The award-winning designer recalled that some of her toys were inspired by her own sons. Between 1983 and 2007, Marschak created a number of innovative toys and play sets including the Cozy Cottage play set, Splash and Stack bath toy, play quilt, Gymfinity infant gym and toddler play table, Create-a-Flower construction sets for girls, and a Musical Play Garden. To appeal to girls, Fisher-Price offered a construction set that made flowers, not buildings or towers, and included blossoms flecked with glitter. The set was available from 1992 to 1995.
