Play set:Quick Curl Barbie Beauty Center

In the mid-1970s, Mattel, Inc. introduced a Quick Curl Barbie doll with specially treated hair that held a curl. This play set features the same treated hair so that little girls needn't wait too long to see the results of their stylings. The Barbie Beauty Center included a make-up kit too so that girls as young as four and five could perfect applying eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick on Barbie long before Mom and Dad allowed them to wear make-up themselves.
