In the 1950, the United States had recently emerged victorious from war and was locked in a Cold War with the Soviet Union. Each of these reflected current technological innovations and these world events sometimes invaded kids����_�� play. In the early 1950, Archer Plastics released Space People. These stylized people wore angular space suits and plastic dome helmets and held heroic positions. These dime-store toys helped bring the excitement and trepidation of the future of space and technology to countless children.
