National Football Museum
Manchester, United Kingdom

This Players Union armband was worn during matches by footballers who were part of the union.

The wearing of the armband was banned by the FA in 1910. Manchester United players continued to strike, but it wasn't until they were joined by Everton's Tim Coleman that the union regained momentum.
