The Disney empire introduced "The Adventures of the Gummi Bears" in 1985. They appeared in their own 30-minute animated TV series on Saturday mornings from 1985 to 1991. A number of manufacturers offered Gummi Bear-related toys and merchandise when the show became popular. The plush figures of the Gummi Bears donated to the museum by Claire Marschak represent products she worked on as toy designer for the Fisher-Price toy company of East Aurora, NY.
