This is a pocket watch with an alarm function in a
rounded silver body with a tab to which a chain can be attached. The white
enamel clock face with Arabic numerals (1-12) marking the hours and minute
sections is covered with an opening glass lid.
The mechanism lies behind a lid, the exterior of which is
decorated with an enamel miniature portrait of a woman.
The edges of the lids covering the clock face and
mechanism are decorated with gold dots.
The plate holding in place
the mechanism bears the engraving: “Joseph Jefsner in Wien No 418”.
