Artist's Note: Art has become more difficult year after year. As the years pass, the artmaking becomes ever more difficult, as the nature of art is centered on its essence.
The artist's recent work has highlighted the stories about the relationship between culture and nature. Culture is the civilized world where human beings seek convenience, whereas nature is the state naturalized by a dispensation of the universe that is beyond the reaches of human strength. It is the relationship between man and nature that naturally derives from the relation of culture and nature.
The relationship between man and nature have been expressed aggressively in the artist's work. To represent culture, architectural culture has been the chosen subject matter wherein man dwells and acts. And to represent nature, charcoal is the chosen subject matter as it is the terminal state of trees that stand with us on earth.
