Points (arrowheads) from Göbekli Tepe

The chipped stones of Göbekli Tepe fit perfectly into the PPNA and PPNB. This can be shown by the many diagnostic tool types that have been found over the last decades of which arrowheads (or points) are suitable for relative dating. Among the arrowheads are el-Khiam points and Helwan points which are diagnostic for the PPNA, as well as Byblos points which date to the PPNB. Nemrik points or Nevali Çori points also feature in the arrowhead assemblage from Göbekli Tepe. Besides arrowheads there are also scrapers, burins and other tools common for the PPNA and PPNB. Another feature of the PPNA and PPNB are so called naviform cores which are also present at Göbekli Tepe.
