Poisoned Tip

The major strategy of the San is the use of the poisoned arrows. The gathered larvae are crushed and stored in a "poison jar." When needed, they are dissolved in juice from the root of Indigofera sp._ Coccinia rehmarinii, or the like, and the poison is ready for use. It is painted over all of the wire on the arrow except the very tip.
