Pork Pie

The pork-pie hat was first worn by women. Its name refers to the round pork-pastry dish and reflects its shape. It has a relatively flat, round crown with a plate dent or "duck pond" on top. The brim is curved, flat at the front, and bent slightly upward at the back and sides.
