"I don't have a lot of expertise, I don't know much, but what I know is from what I've done," says Porky Hefer. "These words aren't going to change the world, but what I want them to do is to inspire you to get up and change."
In this talk from Design Indaba Conference 2012 Hefer talks about projects he has undertaken, from a simple wooden lightbulb to a large-scale outdoor nest. He also discusses some of his more famous projects, including the Coca-Cola Crate Fan, which was erected in Cape Town and Johannesburg for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and the controversial perfume range for Cape Town "gentlemen's club" Mavericks.
That funny idea? says Hefer. Just do it.
A perfect example of this is his Rogz Grinz ball, that turns a dogs muzzle into a goofy smile.
