Italy

De Gregorio was a supporter of the Resina School and landscape painting observed from real life. In the center is an ancient arched structure, inserted in the modern landscape. In the painting there are several transformations that have affected the present state of Capodimonte. The ancient arched structure has been incorporated into the urban landscape, and there are now two guard towers at the Porta Grande, instead of the single tower in the painting.
