Nogusot, also called saeong, is a small pot used to cook rice or porridge. Generally made of cast iron or brass, it closely resembles other pots, but its bottom and belly are relatively flat. These pots are used to quickly boil rice. In particular, during ancestral services such as rituals worshiping village tutelary spirit and shamanic rituals, rice was cooked and served on the spot using this pot. Ginseng diggers who gather medicinal herbs used this pot to cook rice for worshiping the mountain spirit before entering the mountain.
