The hair gathered in a high hairstyle in vogue at the beginning of the Sixties, the large eyes, the high and thin neck give a note of austere elegance to the portrait of this night club dancer that Ligabue had met in Reggio Emilia, remaining very impressed. The chromatic liaison between the black and white abstract motif of the shirt and the black of the eyes and hair is interesting, which allows the figure to be effectively detached from the background, in which meadows and ponds are analytically described with Flemish detail. Closing the landscape, a group of houses on the left and a palace on the right evoke nostalgically beloved Switzerland, the importance of which is underlined by the size, the coat of arms, and the presence of statues.
