Alfredo Carozzi (1870-1939), was a Milanes, son of the owner of a started furrier, helps his father in the activity, which he then detects when in 1912 his father dies. He was appointed Commander of the Crown of Italy for professional merit. In his will he appoints his wife, with a legacy of 50,000 lire in favor of the Maggiore Hospital. The portrait is commissioned to Annibale Scaroni, a pupil of the "Moretto da Brescia" School of Art and later to Francesco Paolo Michetti, who performs a work according to the traditional iconography of the "set" hospital portrait, dignified, but without great creative impulses.
