Amalia Casanova (1815 - 1883), descendant of a noble Milanese family, when she died she left her sister Savina. The latter, in life, makes a donation from the large family-owned building in Via Fieno to the Ospedale Maggiore (worth over 500,000 lire) asking for a small annuity for herself and a portrait in memory of her sister, whom she recognized as wise and prudent conservator of the family patrimony and therefore worthy in its place of the commemorative portrait.
