Shoulder-length portrait of an energetic, cheerful man, his head raised up, slightly raised eyebrows, his squinted eyes look up, a high sloping forehead with side bald patches, short-cropped hair pulled back, smiling lips, gently outlined lower part of the face with a slightly bifurcated chin. Anatoly Stepanovich Veliugin (1923-1994) was a Belarusian Soviet poet, a prose writer and translator, a screenwriter. The winner of the Yanka Kupala Literary Prize (1964). Laureate of the State Prize of the Belarusian SSR (1968). Honored Worker of Culture of the Belarusian SSR (1969). Member of the Union of Writers of the USSR (1946).
