The Marquis Andrea Ponti (1884-1933), born of an illustrious family very involved in the economic, political and social fields (his grandfather Andrea was an enlightened philanthropist, patron, industrialist, his father Ettore was several times mayor of Milan), graduated in jurisprudence and he was a competent essayist in the field of Constitutional Law, passionate about music and even composer, he allocates 1 million lire in his will to the Ospedale Maggiore, with an annuity in favor of his mother, Remigia of the barons Spitalieri. The painter Archimede Bresciani from Gazoldo is influenced by Novecento movement style.
