Angelina Colombo (1865-1928), daughter of modest shopkeepers, of a large family, succeeds in teaching herself, even learning to play the piano. She married Paolo Lonati, a wealthy merchant, with whom she opened numerous shops, intelligently supporting their business. Widowed, she dedicates herself to charity works and in the will appoints the heir of her patrimony, about 600,000 lire, the Ospedale Maggiore, with the burden of building the family tomb at the Monumental Cemetery and taking care of its maintenance, as well as observing annual suffrages for her and her husband.
