Ca’ Granda – Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico
Milan, Italy

Antonio Fumagalli did not directly benefit the Ospedale Maggiore. His sister Luigia (1860-1947), wealthy owner of numerous buildings in Milan, unmarried, in her will allocates her substantial substance, in equal parts, to the Opera Pia for the Parish Houses of Milan and to the Maggiore Hospital, to which she asks execution of the commemorative portrait, in addition to his own (performed by Giuseppe Novello), also for her parents, Luigi and Giovanna, her brothers, Antonio and Ernesto Eliseo, and her two sisters, Enrichetta and Emilia.
