Portrait of Antonio Rezzonico

This portrait is not executed on commission from the Ospedale Maggiore, but is a "family portrait" by Stefano Bersani, and comes with the legacy of the benefactor Dr. Giulio Rezzonico (1828-1915) who, in his will on August 21 1915, arranged for the Ca 'Granda a legacy of 200,000 lire, offered half of the sum in the name of his father Antonio, a hospital doctor, asking that his image also appear among the works of the Quadreria Ospedale.
