It is the portrait of the patriarch of Park Gyu-soo (1807 ~ 1877). In the latter period of the Joseon era, which claimed modernization. In February 1866, he was appointed as a peacekeeping observer. In July, the US armed merchant ship, General Sherman, was defeated in the Taedong River. After witnessing the Qing dynasty movement, he repeatedly suggested Daewongun the necessity of the country, but when it did not come, he withdrew from the front line. At this time, Kim Ok-kyun and Yu Gil-joon were asked to look at the world's trends and to develop the idea of flowering. In September 1875, when Japan requested diplomatic ties with Yun Ho-ho, it defeated the claim of Choi Ik-hyun and concluded the Ganghwa-do treaty.
