Benigno Cristoforo Crespi (1833 -1920), a well-known Lombard cotton industrialist, originally from Busto Arsizio (Varese), whose father owned a small textile company, an accountant, after a brief internship at other cotton mills, set up a series of factories that succeed in a short time time to keep up with the most advanced European factories.
