Portrait of Buonarrota di Simone

The portarit shows a Casa Buonarroti’s member: Buonarrota di Simone. The man points the French fleurs de lys on the Buonarroti’s coat of arms to suggesting that he has been Captain of Parte Guelfa. Buonarrota had also covered several charges, he was prior for three times and he had exercised the Arte del Cambio, lending to the Comune the considerable amount of 4500 fiorini. He died in 1405.
