Carlo Alberto Frisiani (1848-1915), count, whose "patriotic" name is due to the resurgence of his father Luigi, he graduated in medicine in Pavia and started working at the Ospedale Maggiore. He inherited a large fortune from his uncle, an astronomer, Paolo Frisiani, and abandoned his active profession to devote himself only to the free care of the poor, but spent much of his energy studying agronomy and improving the sanitary conditions and life of the peasants.
