Portrait of Carlo Boggeri

Carlo Boggeri (1786-1870), Genoese but still living in Milan, benefits various welfare agencies to which he assigns legacies and the Maggiore Hospital, named after his death as universal heir. The portrait is commissioned to Giuseppe Penuti, who portrays the benefactor in a dressing gown, in the act of getting up from his desk.
