Portrait of Count Magnus Brahe by Olof Johan Södermark (1790-1848). Södermark started as an officer in the Royal Engineers and saw action in the latter stages of the Napoleonic Wars. In the 1820’s he decided to become an artist and became a well-loved portraitist in Society.
