Maria II (Rio de Janeiro, April 4, 1819 - Lisbon, November 15, 1853), nicknamed "the Educator" and "The Good Mother" was the Queen of Portugal and the Algarve in two different periods.First in 1826 to be deposed in 1828 by his uncle Miguel, and after 1834 until his death. She was the eldest daughter of Emperor Pedro I of Brazil - who also reigned Portugal briefly as Pedro IV - with his first wife Archduchess Maria Leopoldina of Austria. Similar painting can be seen at the National Coach Museum made of John Simpson (1782-1847) and dated 1834 and another one at the National Palace of Mafra, and this has not assigned authorship.
