It’s not surprising that this work was made Garate, he and Casanova were old friends. Shortly after the implantation of the Portuguese Republic, Casanova returned to Spain finding refuge in the Casa dos Artistas in Madrid founded by Luis Sainz, he was given a room there probably on account of his friendship with Garate.
