The Marquis Luigi Crivelli, a descendant of a noble Milanese family, died on September 14, 1901 in his villa in Inverigo (Como); in his will, on 21 March 1898, he left all his possessions to his cousin Vitaliano Crivelli, allocating a legacy of 150,000 lire in favor of the Maggiore Hospital, aimed at establishing small incomes to support convalescents in need of economic aid after their resignation.
