Ca’ Granda – Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico
Milan, Italy

Francesco Riva benefited Ospedale Maggiore by donating 100,000 lire after the death of his first wife, Cesarina Miani, who died in 1908 at the age of 22, assigning the sum to the construction of a Urology Pavilion to be named after her. This portrait of the benefactor, who died in 1926, is sent by his second wife Maria Tartarini. It is displayed in the atrium of the "Cesarina Riva" Urology Pavilion, above the commemorative plaque.
