Gaetano Zucchi (1811-1874), son of a small merchant, ordained a priest in 1833, carries out most of his religious mandate in the church of Santa Maria alla Porta. Chaplain during the cholera epidemics of 1836, 1849 and 1854, in the Five Days of Milan in 1848 he assisted the patriots condemned to death by the Austrians and in the War of Independence in 1859 he was among the priests of the hospitalized wounded in the Monastery of San Maurizio.
