Gemma Fragni (1887-1972), wife of the knight Giulio Sichirollo, largely benefits from the Maggiore Hospital and names him as the universal heir of her possessions, also sending two private portraits, his and her husband's, both performed by Ugo Celada from Virgil. A plan of the San Carlo Hospital was named after the two spouses. Having received the two private paintings in the deposits, the official portrait of Gemma Fragni Schirollo was entrusted to Augusto Colombo. This work by Celada da Virgilio dates back to around the 1950s and depicts the benefactor at a more youthful age compared to the painting of Augusto Colombo.
