Portrait of Geraldine Jacobi, the mother of actress Jane Russell. She is depicted seated on an empire sofa, wearing a flowered hat, white blouse, blue shawl and skirt. The painting is in a gold painted wood frame. The portrait was painted by artist Miss M. Bradish Titcomb in Boston, Massachusetts. Titcomb painted in impressionist style and studied in Europe. President Wilson purchased the painting at a 1915 exhibit at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. The painting originally hung in the White House and was then brought to 2340 S Street.
